Aegina Island

Today we took a ferry from the port city of Piraeus to the island of Aegina, just off the coast of Attica. The island has been inhabited by Greeks from early Neolithic times, which happened here late in the 2000s B.C.

After a great look at the Temple of the nymph Aphaia, we had an amazing lunch at the home of our tour guide. She cooked us traditional Greek foods and treated us to an unbelievable view from her front porch.
The best octopus ever!
