Early Humans Vocabulary

GLACIER
A huge sheet of ice that slowly moves across earth’s surface

HOMINID
Any human of any species

EVOLUTION
Slow change of a species over time

LAND BRIDGE
A connection between two landmasses, especially a prehistoric one that allowed humans and animals to colonize new territory

PALEOLITHIC AGE
“Old Stone Age” from the time of Homo Habilis to about 10,000 - 7,000 years ago

NEOLITHIC AGE
“New Stone Age” starts about 10,000 - 7,000 years ago WITH THE INVENTION OF FARMING

HUNTER-GATHERER
Any human that lived by hunting animals and gathering plants to eat

  2. For the word "Land Bridge" can we just study the word by saying "A connection between two landmasses"? or do we have to memorize the whole thing on the card?

  5. Well you have to know the difference between the differences between the early human types. It would be a weird Early Humans test if you didn't have to know about early humans :)
