In class, we've been working on creating an article about the Ice Man, including your inferences about his life, death, and the world in which he lived. We will continue working on it in class, and the final report is due next week. Here is the assignment:
You may have an interesting cover for your article (like a National Geographic cover) including:
Heading - Name, date, block

Be a National Geographic Writer!
To write this article, I want you to pretend that you are a National Geographic journalist. Your job is to report all of the important information about our mummified friend, and to educate people on what it all means. You need to connect all the artifacts that I show you and the information you learn from the video, and come up with your own inferences about Iceman’s life and death.

ReplyDeleteNevermind got it :) Homework
ReplyDeletewhat were some of the ideas for a big idea?
ReplyDeletethree questions
ReplyDelete1. Can plain text be "times new romans"?
2. Does the date go on the side without your name and block?
3.When is this due? Friday or Monday?
The cover is totally your editorial choice--as long as it has name, block, date, title
ReplyDeleteCan some folks post their "BIG IDEAS?"
ahhhh lets see........ oh yah that he was a hunter & gatherer. and that he had a tough life (diseases, climate, etc.), and i know that there ismore i just cannot remember the rest. Hope it helped! other people will probably remember some others.

ReplyDeleteTo find out when it's due, what to have on the cover, and font, just read the Blog entry above.

ReplyDeleteProbably Tuesday. Why don't you wait and see how much you get done tomorrow in class before stressing about when it's due?
ReplyDeleteYes, he had his clothes on when he died, and when he was found.
for class tomorrow should we just have as much as our rough draft?
ReplyDeletehow long ago did the investigation in the video we watched in class take place?
ReplyDeleteAre we going to have to hand in our rough draft too
ReplyDeleteYes, along with your notes
ReplyDeletedo we need 2 have the 2 dots above the O in Otzi? cause i cant find it on my computer.
ReplyDeleteHaha! No, definitely not. If you want, you can just use a pen, or just google, "How to make an umlaut o" and see how to do it.
ReplyDeleteTHAT WOULDN'T WORK FOR ME (I have a PC)
ReplyDeleteAre we allowed to put pictures on the cover page, or should we just write what's listed? Would pictures lower our grade?
ReplyDeleteDo we have to write the title, name, etc. on the sheet with all the info on it and the title page, or just on the title page?
ReplyDeleteWhy would adding pictures on the cover LOWER the grade? Of course it wouldn't.
ReplyDeleteThe cover and the article NEED to have your info.
